Disneyland Paris is not “Disneyland with a French accent.” Its castle park is one of Disney’s most beautiful, its attraction lineup has meaningful differences, and the second gate is in the middle of a major transformation.
How many days?
For a first trip, two full park days is a comfortable starting point, with a third day useful if you want slower meals, repeat attractions or seasonal entertainment. The two parks sit close together, so moving between them is far easier than park hopping at Walt Disney World.
Disneyland Park
Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant is not merely a photo stop. Explore the castle itself and the dragon beneath it. Phantom Manor, Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean are especially interesting for visitors who know the American versions because Paris tells familiar Disney stories differently.
Disney Adventure World
The resort’s second park is evolving substantially, so check the current operating lineup for your dates rather than relying on an old Walt Disney Studios Park itinerary. Treat construction announcements and future lands as future experiences until Disney gives an opening date.
Where to stay
Disney hotels range from highly themed premium properties to simpler accommodations. Location matters because walking can replace transportation. Also compare nearby non-Disney hotels and the role Disneyland Paris plays in the larger France trip.
Weather
Paris weather is not Orlando weather. Pack for the season, especially rain and cold. Indoor attractions and covered spaces help, but comfortable shoes and layers can change the entire experience.
